We're ONLINE!

Hello everybody... listen up, I decided to put the site online to let those of you who just MUST blog, get right down to it.

But we'll be working on fixing lots of little things all through the night until they're done, including a guide to the new features and tags. I'll warn you in advance that I am working on the template still, so best to keep to your old ones until tomorrow, ok?

I do not know whom I am writing this message to. But whoever he/she is or they are I wish to thank for the new format for the Mo'time Blog. Its very pleasant and very user friendly. A BIG thank you.

though I have an observation.. motime now looks a lot like an imitation of blogspot. don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I hope we get to have some extra features like recently updated entries, better html editor where tables are allowed... just a note. :)

I like the new templates and features and functions. I can see that you've taken into consideration the suggestions that have been brought up before, which I really appreciate. But I just have to say that while the "more centralized blog control" is well-intended, it is a wee bit too disorienting. Oddly, I feel as if I'm alone navigating around motime. Which was never the case with the "old look". Must be the change in color scheme and layout, and with the newly updated section being relocated, in particular. With the old, I always felt I had company (even if the list of updated blogs sometimes virtually never moved! or when the blog names didn't sound too familiar). Maybe I'm just being a little nostalgic. Must be a subsequent effect of being disoriented. ;) So, anyway, my suggestion (and it is but a suggestion) is for the main page to retain its old layout but with a more modern twist (though I still think that the old was a classic as it was). And I will have to agree with harriene; we do look like blogger now. I hope we change back to the old fonts (verdana-esque) at least? And orange! Motime used to be about white, blue and orange! (And some greys, too) What happened to white and orange? Talk about classic. : ) Maybe the blues are what's been making me...blue? I hope these things I brought up don't make you crazy(ier). It is enough of a stress for me to maintain my own blog, what with the design and all. I can only imagine the hard work you have to do (and stress you go through) to maintain a whole network of blogs. So hats off to you. Keep up the good work!

first of all, thanks to all you for taking the time to comment. You know we really do read and consider what you have to say. Let me answer a few questions and respond to the comments...

I've got a better idea. I'll write a post about the interface issues to keep the ball rolling.

In this thread let me respond to GuruKool's question: Yes, any extra code that you put into your template for customization will be lost if you change templates. ALL customized template code should be copied into a text document on your own hard disk as a back-up. Always. jmora, I don't really understand your question. Can you be more specific?

Give me a little time...and I'll get to the next post soon!
