"Read more" trick...

For any number of reasons, you may not want long posts to push down your previous posts so far down to the bottom of the page. In these cases, you can take advantage of this little trick to present the first part of your post as a teaser or abstract, and have the rest be read upon clicking a "Read more..." link.

Just type −−br−−  where you want the post to "break," and we'll do the rest automatically. You can change the graphic style of the "Read more..." link in the <style> section of your template. Look for the readmore style and modify it as you wish.

That is because you are using a modified version of an old template, not one of the new ones currently in our library, so your style section is missing the style. You need to add it in by hand. Here is a sample style, you can change any of the attributes, but not the title:

 #read-more {
    font-size: 9px;
    padding-top: 4px;
    padding-bottom: 4px;
    padding-left: 8px;
    padding-right: 8px;
    margin-top: 4px;
    margin-bottom: 4px;
    text-align: center;
    vertical-align: top;
   }

Thanks for that. It's great to get such a fast response (actually one of he things that makes motime reallyb special is the fact that you do actually get a response!). Alas it was the wording I was hoping to change - having set myself the challenge of making the site gradually truly bilingual (English & Polish) - but never mind! Thanks anyway!

Thanks for your appreciation. One day we hope to have a language package that will automatically translate the mo'time-generated content in your chosen language... but as you can imagine, that is quite an undertaking!
