Back by popular demand...

We put the 7-day history back on the home page next to your blogs after hearing from a few of you on the subject. It was missed! In order to squeeze everything in, the navigation links are icon-only, but with a description that pops up when you put your mouse pointer over the icon. Oh and there's a little legend up top.

You know what would be neat? (Is this the place to suggest neat things?) If the little "Messages" tab on top of your page would pop up a little (1 New) when you got a new message. It used to be that when you were mindlessly reading every single blog on the recently updated list (Not that I do that, of course) you could still see you mailbox in the side column. That was swell.

You'd be surprised how many people don't regularly go to their login page. And then they never, ever pick up their momail. Weirdos. ;)

This is as good a place as any to make a suggestion.

What do these weirdos do? Bookmark the posting URL and go directly there?

Anyway, I have been told that the queries to the database would be much greater if all the tab pages were to display the presence of a new message.

On the other hand, we are already planning on moving the Community/Messages section of the home page up above the blog list.

Do we really need to cater to Weirdos?

In all seriousness, I actually like the suggestion very much. Even if we can't implement it now for technical reasons, it's going on the brainstorming list to see if there is a way to do that. Thanks!

I know at least one weirdo who does that, but I don't want to name him and embarrass him. lol

I often see people asking how to send a momail, or even "what is a momail", and it's such a great feature. They're missing out. Momail is exciting. It should make the whole screen blink until you pick it up. Is that any easier to implement? :) Ok, shutting up now.
