Hurricane Katrina in the blogs

Most people are probably getting enough (or too much) information about the disasterous results of hurricane Katrina from television, radio and print media. I have collected a few link for you to explore blogs, video blogs (vlogs) and podcasts. As far as relief efforts are concerned, there are many sources of information about how you can help. Here is the link to the wikipedia's general article on Katrina, a list of external links for disaster recovery among other links. My thoughts and empathy go out to all those who have suffered and are still suffering in this tragedy.

To read, see and listen to account by bloggers, podcasters and video bloggers, here are a few links to get you started. We are witnessing a huge change in the way that information is collected and reported around the world:

The Interdictor (a blog with video links)
List of of live video streams
Citizen blogs (blogs and photos)
Blogs  (on Technorati, a blog search tool)
Blogs with video  (again, from Technorati)
Podcasting directory (what are podcasts?)

I invite you to add your own links in the comment section. I know that there are a few Mo'timers who have been personally affected by Katrina. My heart goes out to them. If anyone would like to make any announcements, you can also comment here (although this blog does not get very high traffic).

I found an interesting site that has a list of bloggers who blogged about Hurricane Katrina. And some Mo'Timers, such as myself (#1396) and HamsterMotor (#2759) are on this list! I'm sure that other Mo'time bloggers are on there; I just don't have the time to go through the whole list.
